Cookie policy

In brief
When you open the Volano website, we do not install any profiling, statistics or advertising cookies, and your browser does not contact Meta. The banner asks whether you accept Meta's marketing cookies (Facebook and Instagram), which we use only to measure our ads. «Accept» and «Reject» are given equal weight; closing the banner with the × counts as rejecting. If you reject, the website works exactly the same.
Technical cookies (no consent required)
- volano_consenso (ours): remembers whether you accepted or rejected marketing cookies, so we don't ask you again on every page. It lasts 6 months, after which we ask you again.
- Where your visit came from (ours, held in the memory of the open tab, not a cookie): the site you arrived from (just the name, for example google.com), the first page you opened and the link parameters. It is deleted when you close the tab, is not shared with anyone else, and reaches us only if you fill in a form, together with your request.
- Client area: opens via a personal link, without session cookies. The agency's internal dashboard uses two technical login cookies, only for people who work at Volano.
- Fonts, photos and videos served from our own server: we do not connect your browser to Google Fonts or other external services.
- Payments: payment takes place on Stripe's page, which uses its own technical and anti-fraud cookies as set out in its privacy notice.
Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
- Meta Pixel, by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.: cookies _fbp (90 days) and _fbc (90 days, only if you arrive by clicking an ad) on our domain, plus the cookies Meta reads on its own domains if you have a Facebook or Instagram account. It records the public pages you visit and certain steps: requesting a website rating, opening the payment page, creating an account, starting the trial and subscribing. The pixel does not run on pages with a personal link (client area, proposal, rating, preview, contracts).
- Source campaign (ours, in browser storage, 30 days): the utm parameters from the ad link, so we know which campaign brought you here.
- Meta Conversions API (from our server, not a cookie): when you pay for a subscription, if you have given consent, we send Meta the same event with your email converted into an unreadable code (SHA-256), the _fbp and _fbc identifiers, your browser type, IP address, amount and currency. Without consent, we send nothing.
We are joint controllers with Meta for the collection and transmission of this data (Art. 26 GDPR); what Meta does afterwards is explained in its privacy policy. Meta may transfer data to the United States (Data Privacy Framework). Details in our privacy policy.
How to change your mind
At the bottom of every page there is a «Cookie preferences» link: it reopens the banner so you can change your choice whenever you like. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the _fbp and _fbc cookies from our domain and the pixel no longer runs. You can also delete and block cookies in your browser settings.
